The stock steel wheels do have more backspaceing and sit pretty far in giving you a really narrow stance. I went with some 16x8 lx450 rims and they sit nice and flush with the fender flares.

Just ordered the 40 amp ultimizer. Great deal at that price. I bought a group 65 die hard platinum in the fall and it's always had a resting voltage of around 12.6 which I thought was normal until reading this thread. Hopefully the charger can bump it back up.

Several of these have sold for as little as $5-7k on govplanet! A quick search on steelsoliders forum shows they can be regeared for a higher top speed. However I don't believe these came with diff locks and only a few come with the PTO winch. Sure would suck to get such a big rig stuck!

They are actually pretty practical vehicles. I use one as my DD/commuter. The hatch area is very cavernous; it's nice to be able to throw my mountain bike in the back without taking off the wheel or anything. Yes, it's bland, boring to drive, etc but it's cheap to operate and highly practical.
