1985 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 4cyl Turbo Diesel

I agree with the previous threads regarding price. 4x4 Toyota's tend to fetch a premium over there. I think a BJ60 would be well suited for Hawaii. When we lived on Kauai our FJ40 was the perfect island vehicle. It was slow which was fine since we were on "Island Time" :) When we moved back...

    Mauka2Makai - Our Quest Begins...An 80 Series Adventure

A 1HZ works well although most opt for the 1HD-T since it is turbo'd and a little better on fuel :)

    San Ignacio Whale Watching Trip

Hey Robb, Yep we camped right on the water at Kumiya. Really awesome spot. Bummer no fires but the hot bucket shower made up for it. :) The staff were great and I liked the orientation they gave us beforehand. Probably do another Baja trip this summer after we figure out where we want to go...

Thanks Yeah Leucadia is still a bit of a hold out from the 60s and 70s :) There are a lot of "Keep Leucadia Funky" bumper stickers around. I remember Ponto back in the early 80s when there wasn't a jetty also. The jetty definitely improved the break and for a year or two after that it was pretty...

Diesel was under $3.00 a gallon which was great. I believe gasoline was cheaper but all of the diesel pumps are located away from the gas pumps (for the big rigs) so I didn't notice. Usually it runs cheaper also Saw your avatar. Our friend's Rubicon worked great down there. I think he took it...
