Just posting for some thoughts on a weird occurrence. I have a 2006 double cab with SPC UCAs and upper ball joints (stock steering knuckles). Yesterday the dog distracted me (problem I know) as I turned into a parking lot I drove over the corner of a curb, direct on at very low speed with the...
I have also seen where they were made in Colorado and bought out by Lance, but that is only from forum posts. Any links to info on these guys would be awesome.
Does anyone know anything about these? I found one a couple hours away and the dimensions listed in the ad look really close to my 2006 Crew Cab Tundra bed.
But...I can't find much online. Saw one guy (poster here years ago) had one narrowed to fit 'newer' trucks and I also have seen ads listed...
They are factory first gen Tacoma steelies. 4.5" backspace I believe. I asked in the 'who runs factory steel wheels' thread and got confirmation they will fit. They fit just fine though for looks like could stick out another inch imo. No biggie tho.
Thanks Rick & toykick! Rick you and seanpistol and others obviously inspired the bumper. Mine is slightly different. I had a local fab guy do it...he did a great job. The side pieces of 1.75" dom have braces that bolt to the frame rail. It's stout...you can drop the truck on them and they won't...
my 2006 dc as i picked her up in december 3rd owner, 114k when i got it. paid a bit of a Toyota Tax but it's a nice truck. I call her Gravy Boat
first off-pavement trip after ome coil/shocks,spc UCA's, add-a-leafs (springs & shackles next year), 255/85 KM2s on first gen Tacoma steelies rattle...
Dave's right on the wheels. Took me a while to hunt them down but it can be done. Google is your friend.
Man, looks like you guys are pushing me towards the Tundra! I guess the downsides would be outweighed by the upsides. I keep reminding myself that most places I go are often traversed by...
I usually hate these threads but here I am. Really indecisive.
So this was my last truck:
2007 Access Cab 4.0 auto, OME, 255/85s, sliders and CBI high clearance rear. Bought it new, drove it a hard 238,000+ miles with 0 problems. Lots of great trips over the years. I loved the truck but...
nooooooooooo!
Just kidding! Hope the new owner loves it! Looks like the timing was just a bit off for me.
Would you mind building another cool rig and selling it to me at a really fair price? :D
My Tacoma was stolen last week. If it's not sold by the time I get my insurance check, and I don't find my truck, I may be that right person. I'll be hoping it doesn't sell soon - no offense! LOL.
I love this rig.
