    The Utilitarian-Camper 2nd Gen Tacoma

Wow, I just found this thread yesterday, read through the whole thing only to find it for sale. I've wanted to do something simular for years, only out of fiberglass over foam, have several designs solid modeled even, but time is always the ennimy. I'd love to tell you're smokin crack at that...

Turning air bag off on 2nd gen taco

Does anyone know how to do this? Am I blind that I can't find the fuse to pull? My kids, 5&7 like to sit on my lap and drive at this off-road area that is wide open and sandy - super low risk stuff. But I'd still like to be able to disable the airbag.

What would you pay for a better Flippac?

Durashell 90 with a flip and you're 90% of the way to a more desireable option (to me anyway)

What would you pay for a better Flippac?

What would make it worth more to me is for it to be a slide in with the same style tent. Also I'd rather have it cab high and flip out the back rather than have it hanging over the cab, anything to help wind drag. The other advantage to me to a slide in shell would be I have a short bed crew cab...

    Doc's 05 Tacoma Build Thread

Data? You mean where someone took someone elses data and manipulated it completely ignoring the deformation of the tire to support a predetermined conclusion? Ya', this is why I such a 'debate' is fruitless.

    Doc's 05 Tacoma Build Thread

Really, you're gonna keep posting up stuff here and tell me to take my answers to another thread? Real simple, here's the bad assumption that everything else in that link is based on. "Ok, as stated already, Avon did not measure the contact patch size directly. However, it is probably...

    Doc's 05 Tacoma Build Thread

I ment he need not worry about me turning it into a discussion on why narrow tires are good, not to relieve you of the burden of unnecessary worry. I pulled the information because it was not desired. As evedent by the below. No use in trying to talk to someone who's cup is already full. I...

    Doc's 05 Tacoma Build Thread

It's not an argument - it's physics and math. Thought that since you posted that link up as to why to go with tall narrow people might want to know why that link has incorrect information. Guess not, so I took down my posts so you don't have to worry about the subject. Just hate people saying...

How old before it's safe to take a baby on a 4x4 trip?

Fuiee - My boy and I went twice a month from the time he was 1 to when he was 2 and sister showed up. He's always enjoyed it. Of course I also get him and sister out of the truck and into the woods exploring a fair amount to broaden the experience. Mom thought I was BS'ing about him enjoying...

How old before it's safe to take a baby on a 4x4 trip?

Old enough to have good motor control over their head - about 1 year is good. I know people who've done younger, I just really didn't want heads flopping around and popping off.
