With a stature like that, I'd be looking at the newest Trooper I could find. I'm 6'3" and switched from a Trooper to a 4G4R, and it felt like I was in a sports car until I got used to it. It's fine now, but the trooper had HUGE headroom.

The Trooper has passed. :( Yes friends, it's true. I had to put the old girl out to pasture this weekend. She was beginning to show her age and had left me stranded a few times. The lack of any Isuzu dealer support, the continuing oil-burning problems, and a sudden plethora of issues finally...

Well, as much as it pains me to say this, I am looking at retiring my beloved Isuzu Trooper. Just too many reliability issues (not to mention support) to keep it and be confident. It's treated me well, though. I am looking at purchasing a 2006 (or newer) 4Runner SR5. Obviously it will be a 4WD...

That's true, but I highly doubt the transmission has anything to do with it. As for what constitutes "very slow", it makes its appearance from circa 45 mph downwards, and I suspect that the only reason I don't feel anything above that is that the wheels are spinning to fast for me to notice it...

My 2000 Trooper LS has 108K miles on it. For a while now, I've noticed that the brakes seem to pulse when slowing down, particularly when going downhill. Interestingly, the brakes pulse faster the faster I'm going when I brake, and slow down as I do. In fact, I suspect it's not the brakes...

Well, now I'm completely confused.... Three days go by with the truck just sitting in my driveway. I decide to try and start it. VROOOOM! :Wow1: I'm still going to have the battery tested, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't sit there open-mouthed when it started up without a hitch.....

Oh. Bummer. Here I was thinking I was all smart for having installed a voltmeter in the truck. :( Well, the rig is home now, so I'll pull the battery and have it tested. Will advise.

It was the BATTERY! Jump-start and off I went. I am PISSED! I hoped an Optima Yellow Top would last longer than two years!

I'm stuck at work. My Trooper won't start. Plenty of juice in the battery (12V before turning the key), but all that happens when I turn it is CLACK, then nothing. Bad starter? If so, how difficult to replace oneself? I don't have an Isuzu dealer or a reliable shop anywhere near me. Thanks...
