    Why no Ram 1500 Builds!

Pretty sure the eco diesel is complete crap, under sized rod bearings that eat themselves at 100k miles! Unless you step to the 3/4 or 1 ton gas is the way to go!

    Why no Ram 1500 Builds!

Any problems with it? One thing I didn’t care for was when the eco light was on with cruise control and coming up on a hill it feels like the motor ran rough for a few seconds before it downshifted! I guessing it has a DOD system like Chevy uses, any issues with the past models with that system...

    Why no Ram 1500 Builds!

That’s seems pretty universal with alot of modified trucks especially diesels, putting on massive wheels and and stretched tires ruining the true purpose of the vehicle!

Small cross-over SUV functional for adventuring?

I was in similar situation, I have a V8 4Runner and decided I wanted to get a Crosstrek for a DD and something that could get to remote areas while using less gas. It was basically instant regret so much that I just sold the crosstrek back to the dealer 14 months and 18k later! It was good car...

    Why no Ram 1500 Builds!

I rented a 1500 Classic this past week and I was really impressed, good power, very nice 8spd and I averaged 23mpg with a 2wd! Then I was shocked when they seem to be 10k less then a equally equipped F-150 or Silverado! With a 2wd V8 coming in around 25k and 4x4 under 30k why aren't more these...

    Suggestions for a 2008 Toyota 4Runner

I have the discontinued bilstien TRD kit, rock slider and 265\70\17s and had never had a issue on any of the Colorado trails i have attempted. I paid less then 600 for the Bilstien kit, well worth it! This is on a 2007 4Runner!

Help, Talk me out of it.

I like the ZR2 but after hearing about the airbags deploying on forest roads and GM not covering it, I would get a Tacoma!

    06-09 Forester or 03-06 Montero

I do remember seeing some newer style Nissan Pathfinders, but not sure of the long term durability but it’s definitely one to consider. But you should be good to go with any Toyota, Nissan, Suzuki or Mitsubishi.

    06-09 Forester or 03-06 Montero

I have been to Central and South America several times, i don't think i have ever seen a Subaru so parts could be hard to come by locally! Why not just save the money on shipping cost and buy something down there? I would personally love to have a Toyota Hiace for traveling around in South...

Looking to build my first rig

Do you realize that the water pump is driven off the the timing belt on the 2uzfe and then to top things off the starter is underneath the intake manifold? Thats not a job i would do in the field! I did buy a v8 a 4runner but i would of preferred the GX470 for the manual transfer case.

2011 Ford Focus. Building a better traveling vehicle (Small Budget build).

Its going to be very hard to bring cots and a large tent along in a Focus. If it was a hatchback it would be easier but still hard, your going have to invest in a roof rack and basket and/or a hitch to carry everything you need. If you have the room why not look for a high mile Ford or chevy...

    Possible DIY offroad vehicle?

It looks like it's front wheel drive, since you can't have a true locker on your steering axle what's the point of this? Might as well buy a 1980 dodge caravan and lift it and you have the same thing!

    4th gen 4runner tire size

I'm almost positive you can only get the KO2 in a E load range in 265/65/17 which will have larger impact on mpg then moving up for to a 265/70/17 in a C load range! When I pursued my tires at Discount tire I paid $204 per for 265/70 and the 265/65 would of been $220
