What 32-33" Tires are you running on your JKU?

255/85/16 stmaxx will fit with the stock tires w/o rubbing w/ no lift. I have run them like this w/ no issue but have not tried them w/ swaybar disconnected.

    JKU Question

How old is the jeep? Worn suspension will do what you describe. So will low tire pressure. What size tires and what gear ratio that's the usual lack of power culprit.

I'm assuming you have a ground wire that you can attach to the hinge (back out a screw a bit and clamp it down). In other words i would attach it to the tailgate as sometimes the mount itself doesn't provide a good grounding (usually because of the rubber isolaters)

I would probably still run the ground but I'm also a Rookie on this, just one who read a bunch recently on it. (it's not going to hurt to run the ground)

You can get a bad SWR if your ground plate is too large (the tub probably is) try grounding to the tailgate it's a much smaller piece of metal.

It's a single din radio (any single din radio would work) plus that specific CB which I know has the mounting points and dimensions to fit in a single din, those two plus a double din bracket that fits the Jeep (you can get this at any car audio shop it's a generic piece) I also got the steering...

Trailer worked great on the trip! Just coasted over everything we went through. Had to come find your thread, have such and itch to start building one. -Andrew

So I got my CB installed. I'll be honest I splurged a bit on this one. The double din radio with no nav has really bothered me, it just seems like wasted space. Also the Bluetooth on the jeep radios is AWFUL so I made sure not to get it. This has made replacing that stock radio tempting. I gave...

jk 4dr Rhino Backbone Roof Rack

On rhino's website you can carry 125kg or the vehicles rating whichever is lower. Jeep hardtop roof had a load rating of 0kg so according to rhino and jeep 0kg. I'm not saying you can't do it just don't expect any support if you break something or cause an acident. I cetaintly wouldn't put a...

    Hello Jeepers

I'm looking to do the same thing with the same jeep. I went with 2.5 aev lift and 255/85/16 st maxx tires (33s) use 255/80/17 if you had 17 inch wheels. Good size and tread for off road. Can keep stock wheels and better gas mileage and road manners than wider tires.

    So i bought a jeep

Congrats sweet jeep. I would strongly suggest wheeling it to see what it needs before doing anything. (You might end up with a small lift just to help break over angle but check first)

I'll keep an eye out for them. They look promising I just couldn't wait that long. I do like the removable roof rack that's pretty sweet

    Receiver mounted MFC carrier

that would be nice, prep space is always at a premium. I think I'm just going cold food for the weekend and saving myself the trouble.

I love the Aqua bumper. That's actually really cool I'll have to check that out. My Gas cans came in today! I looked high and low to mount gas externally but the only things I could find where mounts for aftermarket bumpers which I didn't want or putting it on a roof rack which I also didn't...

    BRAKE CALIPER OPTIONS

If you have bigger tires and at least 17" wheels I would consider the larger brake disk for increased stopping power to compensate for what you have lost (especially since the stock stopping isn't great)

I'm getting my CB installed Wednesday so I'll have an update on that then. For now I got my door hinge mirrors from Olympic 4x4. These are so that I have side mirrors with the doors off. As far as I'm concerned it's a safety issue and they are required. I wanted ones that would allow me to still...

    Trail rated Liberty Ground Clearance

My trail rated kk came with 17" wheels. Was a great truck. If your building one I would suggest skids, rock sliders better tires and an ome lift I had those changes and was very happy. Though if your crawling all day look into hood louvers as I ran into overheating issues more than once though...
