    maybe he has a winch already, I have often wondered about wrapping a cable or spectra rope around the rear drum/wheel joint vee (only if you run singles) and then securing the other end forward or rearward and using the spinning wheel as a capstan...off course I realise the opposite wheel needs...

    I would like another Cape trip but 2 weeks is not nearly enough time, especially if you go sidetracking Yes a lot of the tracks are narrow or off camber so you blokes with sticky out mirrors and backs wider than the cab be warned

    did you notice that the treads are always parallel to the ground no matter what the ground height, the side rails are 38mm high and from memory I think they weigh less than 5kgs excluding the bearing carrier that runs under the floor that you cant see.
