Ursa Minor style top for a TJ?

Scherb, always bringing his A game! That 5 with the popup on it is pretty cool. With front passenger seat gone, seems viable for a mobile single person camp-n-cruise.

    Fast setup ground tent?

I use a Ueraka TL2 (Timberline 2 person) for this. Freestanding. 5x poles. No stupid material sleeve type feeding, all clips. Stakes not required. Compact. It's huge for 1 person. 2 obese people could fit NP. 2 normal humans and a couple crotch fruit would be no issue.

Primary tent poles and awning poles are about 56" long. Keep in mind that besides the main tent body bag you will also have a heavy canvas ground tarp bag, portico/awning bag, stake bag totaling 4 main bags and the pole bag. I keep meaning to order the Kodiak tent bag. It works like a...

Yeah. Just a large washer. I'm going to put them in the press and cone them a bit to make them more friendly to the wire tent hold downs.

Completely understand the concern. Ive used channel locks, hilift handles over a block of wood for fulcrum , etc. That's part of what makes stake removal difficult is to not damage the tent when you have a hung stake. Especially in hard ground on a tent that requires them to be seated deep...

Springbar customer service is second to none. We drove to SLC to look at the models in the showroom. Ended up ordering our 10x10 that day. Drove back a month later to pick it up and use it in eastern Idaho. Great tent, still stoked on it 2 years later. The down sides are the size... not the...

2 Transfer Cases, Same leak... HELP

Id look up the seal P/N, make sure it corresponds with the yoke diameter. Its possible it needs the press on dust flange to keep the seal from being hammered and also to create the proper seal dimension. I would also make sure the yoke isn't chewing up the seal. typically the seal surface is...

Oil Burners (3.8L JK) show me your funnel and

Oil Burners (3.8L JK) show me your funnel and

Thanks for the responses. I was hoping someone had a trick solution :D But "KISS" is always affective! As far as oil considerations, i ran a straight chevron dyno 30 weight with no affect. All my reading on tolerance differences on blogs from engine builders regarding the 3.3 & 3.8 made me...

Where you store your extra oil. im burning about 1 quart per 1300 miles. I know all the issues with the engine but im going to run it to death in the mean time. So, what funnel have you found that doesnt make a mess when stored and where/how are you carrying/stowing your extra oil. Ill...

    Fear of the highlift?

Hi-Lift is a swiss knife functionally speaking... Just like the knife, it can bite you. I cuss the Hi-Lifts every time I use them, but every time, they get the job done.

    Springbar tents. Which one?

Setup is super quick. Tear down takes substantially longer. Folding and rolling the tent body itself you will get consistant at. But like i pointed out, the stakes are the real factor for tear down times. Sometimes they take 5 minutes, sometimes they take 20. i bought a small freestand tent for...

    Springbar tents. Which one?

The awning pole bag is 46" long. The large portico, which is the awning with the wings on either side is about 18" oal, 6" deep and 10" wide. its rolled and in a stuff sack so OAL is consistant but the depth and width can change depending on where you smash it into. The tent poles and bag are...
