Western US adventure vehicle w/ giant dog

I'm in the same boat (3 small people & Great Dane). Considering my options for the trips where I'll be leaving the big camper at home. The dog really is the major point of issue with most options. Truck bed would be great for good weather, but what about when it turns bad? Even the crew cab I...

Could this be an Expo vcehicle

I've worked on these quite a bit. They are stout and capable, but would be a ton of work to make livable. In the right market you MIGHT be able to recoup some of the purchase cost selling the pump, tanks, and various valves. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

    Dodge 2500 orrr?

I wouldn't call the 6.0 a nightmare. If you are the hands on type, they can be made reliable quite inexpensively. The big 3 all have their benefits/drawbacks in diesel offerings. I'd opt for a manual trans in the Dodge flavor, if you can find one... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

    Ground clearance on trailer build

How much clearance is the vehicle towing it going to have? I'm willing to bet it's less than 15". Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Interesting Pop-up Trailer on the back of a truck - from NW Mogfest 2015

This thing is absolutely awesome. I've been kicking around the idea of some sort of custom one-off service bed/RTT system for a few months, but this is pulled off very well. I have the need to tow a car hauler too, so.

    At a cross roads.

If you aren't going to take the plunge and say "Hey, I'm selling the trailer and buying this ____", then I would work on the smaller issues first. I'll not get into the whole stand up for yourself argument, it's moot. But seems like you could really handle a few items to make your experience...

HELP WITH TIRE? FORD 1991 7.3 DIESEL WITH CAMPER

I'm on my second set of General Grabber AT2's in the 265/75/16 flavor. They're on my 04 F350 that weighs in a touch under 8k empty. I've had zero issues with them while unloaded or towing my 5th wheel. As far as a higher weight rating with a 285 I believe that's a myth. My 265's are E rated...

    The Traveling Trio

I'd say this option. The first two seem a bit markety. We know you have to make a living, but a thread simply linking to a blog would be terrible. Or maybe alternate your methods and try to please this community AND your blog subscribers/wallets. Admittedly, I read what was here THEN traveled...
