I can't believe I forgot I posted something on this on TTORA. Toyota has an active RECALL on the airbag system for 2005+ GEN-2s http://www.ttora.com/forum/showthread.php?t=185941&highlight=airbag+recall GO to Toyota's site for recalls, type in your VIN to see if you are affected.

As an ex-safety automotive engineer, I would never splice into the airbag system. I would get that part number and search for a replacement that come off a truck that was not involved in a front end crash. Have you checked your insurance company to see if they will cover this type of issue?

Keeping my Mag for impact and my Surefire has the CREE LED replacement bulb. My Surefire is now even brighter than before. Once the bulb in the MAG goes out, I will replace that bulb with a LED.

CBI made my rear bumper. But be advised, make sure to add the frame re-enforcement plates. Your frame will thank you for it. :)

I have a CB in my truck... For emergencies and for wheeling with groups. Yes I do have my cell phone and FRS talkies.... But on the trail or caravanning with a group, I rather use the CB. I been using CBs since the 70s....and no plans on leaving it.
