The stripe is too ambulance-ish... I cant photoshop so Ill explain it best I can. How about something like a tire tread graphic starting from the rear bottom corner of the door and running up diagnally to the hood. Then perhaps a compass on the side of the "house". Just something to break up...

Need direction on a possible build

It would be a camp/adventure rig and a tow vehicle. I would like to be able to tow my TJ to wherever, and camp in the truck. It would probably get drove often as a daily driver and general truck duties so just an all around truck. I would love a 12v cummins but they are getting hard to find...

Need direction on a possible build

What I have is a 1971 jeep gladiator J-4000 (its a j4800 model or in other words a 1 ton) It was in a front end colision but otherwize in great shape. It has a 360 V8 and an automatic. I would like a diesel engine. It has a very noce alum shell that was custom built for it. Anyway this...

A few questions of longtime Chevy/GMC IFS 4wd owners.

Damn I kinda miss that truck now. It lost a lot of power at around 280K miles and I traded it off at 293K miles where it didn't have much oomph left at all. I bought it for $1000 and put about $3000 into it. LOL I had a lot of fun in that budget beater.

A few questions of longtime Chevy/GMC IFS 4wd owners.

One common problem is the half shafts when the suspention is "cranked" or aftermarket torsion lift keys are used. It puts more angle in the CV's and when the CV's reach their max working angle they will pop appart. but when they reach their max working angle they are usually under power so the...

A few questions of longtime Chevy/GMC IFS 4wd owners.

I understand the discussion is about the HD trucks. However I thought there might be some value knowing the half tons (consitered too weak for a locker) dont blow appart like some rumors might lead a person to think. I have abused the hell out of several and while other parts break the center...

A few questions of longtime Chevy/GMC IFS 4wd owners.

I have owned a lot of GM IFS trucks but all have been 1/2t or heavy half (6 lug labeled as a 2500) So I have no experiance with one locked up because there is no locker option for the 1/2t front diff. That said I have abused the hell out of some of them and never broke the diff itsself. I have...

My '92 Subaru Loyale project car

yea the width of most vehicles is pretty easy to find online, finding the hight of the bumper and grill is a bit harder quick search says a jeep cherokee width of 67.7 inches so at least that tells you a sami is too narrow and a cherokee is too wide unless your willing to cut one down and reweld...

    Four Wheeler mag winch shootout

Nonimouse, you mentioned that you do some work on warns before installing them care to share what you do to them and how it improves them? Im sure it would be helpful to warn winch owners. I myself went from a ramsey 8k on a mid weight jeep TJ to a warn XD9000i and the difference is night and...

    Light placement question

Sounds like they will be in a hazardous place to me. Not just tree branches and brush but rocks, dirt, water, and mud off the tires. That said from what I have seen/heard rigid should be up to the task. As long as they are clean enough to light up what your trying to see.
