I understand, that if you check, the cabs are same size, if not the same stamping on the half tons and 3 quarter tons from the big three. Well, if they still have a "supercab". That's why the "modern" half tons seem so big, they are! Further, when digging up the specs, if configured the same...

Vehicle research: RAM 1500 info sought....

Just checked the Ram site and found the following in answer to my above thoughts. Head, hip, leg and shoulder room are the same between the 1500 and 2500. The overall body width is interestingly .3 in narrower on the 2500 and it is .2 in taller. Wheel base varies depending on configuration...

Vehicle research: RAM 1500 info sought....

I'm currently driving a Ram1500 as a rental. Needed to pick up a college student. It's an 18 Laramie with the 5.7. About 3K miles. The 5.7 moves quite well, 17-18 is about all you can expect, the crew cab is large and comfortable. It's a quiet truck, though I'd guess most of them are these...

Great looking rig! Since it's well on the way to being broken in, mind if I ask about mileage with the Coyote?

Compact Camper: Honda Element vs 1990 Vanagon vs, 1965 Baja Bug

Honestly, for a soon to be college student, get a truck. Real 4 wheel drive, a bed to camp out of, a shell for bad weather a bed tent otherwise, upper teens in mileage, not fragile, able to haul all your stuff (bikes, microwaves, dorm fridges, etc) as you move about the next 4 years...

RAM Rebel vs Stock 1500 or Other Vehicle?

Been researching the transfer case issue my self recently. What I have found is the Rebel, Tradesman, and surprisingly the Express are all 44-45's in the 1500 line. Some good deals to be had these days....

F-150 guys: Fuel tank size and 5.0 V8 questions?

The old 302 was a Windsor, I believe named after the plant where they were manufactured, the new 302 is the Coyote. Besides the width, the heads are greatly improved, previously a well known choke point on the Windsor motors, particularly on the exhaust side. Google ought to have a ton of...

    Give a Dreamer Advice

Pretty sure Chevypit got this one right on the money. You'll never touch that number, even if at list, starting from scratch, doing it yourself or paying someone to put it together. I daily a 93 F150 and there is a reason you don't see many around in most places, "service technicians" are not...
