Well my truck isn't a full-size...but it's a good ol' Ford. These are from camping with the girlfriend last weekend - I don't have much money for the truck at the moment, college dries up the cash pretty quick...but I have plans for the future.

I love my Ranger and am sad that Ford is discontinuing the line...but I'm hoping that another company may soon step up to fill this gap. I've been patiently awaiting the small Mahindra diesel trucks to enter the North American market but they've had all sorts of trouble getting them on the road...

That this is gonna be a beast when you get it done. I'm quite jealous...wish I could swap a diesel in my 4.0 ranger! I'll be watching this thread intently...:)

I'm a Ford guy personally, but in this case I would go with the Tahoe. I don't have much faith in the Ford Explorer/Expedition for off road travel and the Chevy's solid rear axle will be a big help IMO. Plus, as mentioned, there is larger aftermarket support for the Tahoe....not to mention a TON...

Here's a picture of my 2010 Trek 2.1 and my lady's older Cannondale SR400 on top of my old Honda. I'll post a new one with the bikes on my truck as soon as I get the roof rack transferred over :)

Many that I know prefer the leather Brooks saddles for long distance touring. They definitely do require some breaking in though. I personally have a Bontrager Racelite SL that I like, but I haven't done too many multiple-day trips.
