    framing the camper interior

You can get metal studs in a variety of gauges. Heavier gauges can be welded for extra support. A heavier gauge 2" stud set on 16" centers would be ideal. Maybe use 2" thick foam insulation between each stud.

We used to do a lot of wheeling in your neck of the woods (about ten years ago) We cut and named some of the trails in the Swiss area. I wonder if you can still get in there? Thanks for looking

Those storms were fierce! One of main routes here in Putnam county had more power lines laying on the ground than there were standing. Plenty of dirt roads around here if you don't mind driving some pavement to connect them. In 2010 three of us took two Urals, several hundred miles across the...

If only I had brought my whip! or the General Lee Apparently the previous summer storms took their toll on the little foot bridge. All in all this is a great place to spend a few hours of your life. The trail is challenging enough to not be boring but easy enough to be family...

Last winter This is another short trip that we took last winter. With the weather being nasty outside and having a little cabin fever, it seemed like a good time to take a short road trip. Lorne mentioned going to see the Leo petroglyph in Jackson County Ohio, so Lorne, Jeremy and I all piled...

The railroad bridge where Stacy is standing in the pic above is interesting its a Railroad trestle with a one lane motor vehicle bridge cantilevered off of the side of it. If you run into someone in the middle you would have a long way to back up. So after leaving Thurmond we took a different...

Ural: bye bye carbs, hello fuel injection

I wonder if anyone has ever tried retrofitting a selectable under drive box such as a Klune V or a Black box?

This is a series of Short road and camping trips , in and around the mountains of West Virginia, that me and my closest friends and family have enjoyed. Not all of the trips we take are off road but we think they are interesting, none the less. Our group has a plethora of options when it comes...

Ural: bye bye carbs, hello fuel injection

Disk brakes for the rear? Hopefully a little power gain will come along with the fuel injection and What they really need is low a range on the two wheel drive model for those steep technical sections while fully loaded with gear and passengers. That's cool that they are going to be made in Michigan

Who needs a pontoon boat when you can make your own?

Looks similar to the kind of pontoons they use to salvage sunken ships. Didn't a guy cross the Bering Straight with something like this in a Land Rover?
