Ok, but my point is that there would seem to be zero need to bother trying to come up with a way to do it with one person. And tenting it looses the whole cool factor, screw the gas cost! ;)

Just use it without the extra room, still better/easier/cooler than a tent, right?

I believe the issue with troop seats is that you'd have to remove the stock rollbar. Are you assuming that was done? Without removing the rollbar, the roof height does nothing to make troop seats possible. It's one of the things I have against the idea of the stepped-up roof in the rear, it's...

When I get one, it's because it will be easier to put on and take down than dealing with the stock hard top. I would wager that a small minority would be getting it to leave on permanently, just my opinion.

Is it just me or doesn't a pop up camper top require bed length, so: 1. an LJ is the only possible option that doesn't require a custom tub, maybe a Scrambler, but even then it's not going to be for tall folks and 2. If it's an LJ only option, wouldn't it require you to remove the rear roll bar...
