    99 Trooper before/after lift

That's her good side, for sure. The passenger side has some "patina." I recently added some fuel capacity by mounting a jerry can, and we've been out exploring a lot.

    trooper trail shots

I stumbled across this old thread, and on page two, saw that I had posted in it, almost 12 years ago! I have a different Trooper now, so bumping it! Just a couple trail pics from the last few weeks.

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Not really: the lowest points are the sewer drain points and the muffler for the onan generator. We also hit the hitch a few times; it has a lot of overhang. I've never touched down on the fiberglass. I'm not looking to make this thing a real off-roader- It's 22' long and weighs around 8,000...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

My wife and I are touring musicians... "were" I guess is more accurate now, since Covid. For the last few years, our home has been this Sprinter Gulf Stream conversion... somewhere in Montana; Now it needs a lift. Not touring as much means we keep getting it into places it probably...

    99 Trooper before/after lift

I just picked up a 1998 (my 4th Trooper!) and am about to do a 2" lift and new tires, so I was browsing here and saw this thread. So glad there are still a few Troopers around; I loved all of mine. The one I just got is a beater, but that's perfect for what I'm about to do to it. ;) It will...

Lets see some full size pictures...

This one is so pristine, I'm a little worried about messing it up! I'm going to go small at least at first. Minor lift, bigger tires, but otherwise stock. I'd love to figure out some type of roof rack, without molesting the top... I don't want to drill it.

Haven't been here on the forum for a long time, but I have a new project. '95 Bronco XLT 5.8 I guess she belongs here in the "Full Size" forum.

    Syncro Vs. Sportsmobile

That's great. Nothing against japanese vehicles; I've owned many, and just recently sold my Trooper (sad about that). In fact, this van is the first American vehicle I've owned in a long long time. I'm just saying that the build quality and and reliability seems every bit as good as the...

    Syncro Vs. Sportsmobile

Well, I'm very liberal and very American, and I'll keep my Ford, thanks. :ylsmoke:

    Syncro Vs. Sportsmobile

I have absolutely no trouble trusting the reliability of an American V8 or diesel van; I worked for several rafting and fishing outfitters through the years, and Ford Econoline's were the standard shuttle vehicle; many of them had 250-300,000 miles on them and going strong, with normal...

    Interior Heaters???

I use a little buddy heater to warm up the van when needed (first thing in the morning for instance), but a good sleeping bag does fine when I'm sleeping.

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

I'm running BF Goodrich All Terrain KO's, LT265/70R17/E, on 17x8 pacer Soft 8 wheels... but even with the Maxx lift, this required a little cutting on the back of the front fenders; opened it up about an inch at the back corners.

    Diesel Gas Mileage Comparison

2000 E350 7.3 powerstroke with a mild chip, 2wd; I get about 20 usually; drops to 18 with alot of freeway miles (82mph is my sweet spot). 11-12 pulling a 20 foot travel trailer. :D
