    Sealer/caulk for M-100 seams

Can anyone recommend a good sealer or caulk for the seams between the tub and the frame of the M-100 trailer? Were these ever sealed in the first place? I assumed that they were since the trailer was amphibious. The seams look as if they could accumulate a lot of crud. Thanks!

M100: No brakes vs electric? How to measure for new axle?

Differences in M100 axle sizes? Has anyone noted a difference among M100 axle lengths? I'm seeing references to hub face-to-hub face of 50"-52" and spring center of 36"-36.25".

M100 tub removal - angle grinder, etc.?

The tub is in fairly good shape compared to those I've seen here. It does need replacement of the lower part of the front panel and a small section of the floor in front (fairly standard, apparently). I was looking at cutting out those two sections. The front panel would get a new piece welded...

M100 tub removal - angle grinder, etc.?

Is an angle grinder with cut-off wheels sufficient to remove a M100 tub from the frame? Any particular challenges to doing so? Is there a better method? I'd like to remove the tub by cutting the welds, of which there are around 1,000 apparently.... Thanks!

M100 - new axle on old springs, etc.?

Good point. Nope, I didn't. As is, the bearing pack was looking good and didn't seem to need immediate replacement. I'd planned long term to upgrade the axle to e-brakes and hubs made for JK wheels. The re-packing of the bearings was part of a short-term rehab/upgrade to include wheel spacers to...

M100 - new axle on old springs, etc.?

Thanks! Sounds great! I was hoping that I could put the mounts, etc., in the same places. My big worries were that I'd need different sized shocks or springs.

M100 - new axle on old springs, etc.?

Is it possible to replace a M100's original axle with a new axle for different wheels while using the trailer's original springs, shocks, etc.? I'd like to replace my M100's original axle with one to accommodate the same tires/wheels as my 2011 JK. Can I still use the original shocks, spring...

M100 bearing replacement - civilian parts equivalents

I'm trying to determine what civilian parts equivalents that I'd need to replace the bearings in my M100 trailer. So far, I've seen on other boards that I could use front wheel bearings and seal for a 1960 CJ-5. Will the M416 parts work in the M100? I'd seen that the 416 would use Federal Mogul...

Aussie trailers - why no fenders, accessories, etc.?

Aussies having exped trailers down ABSOLUTELY! A SAR friend gave me a bunch of back copies of Aussie 4wd magazines. That's what really sparked my interest in a trailer that could double between camping and SAR. That, and the fact that our 2011 JKU was packed to the ceiling when we went camping.

Aussie trailers - why no fenders, accessories, etc.?

Makes sense to me, when you put it in that context. Thanks!

Aussie trailers - why no fenders, accessories, etc.?

In looking at the commercially-made expedition trailers in the Australian 4wd magazines, I don't see any fenders or exterior accessories, such as propane tanks, tool boxes, etc. Is there a particular reason that the Australians can't have these on trailers? For some reason I recall a post...

M100: No brakes vs electric? How to measure for new axle?

Hello, a friend and I are refitting a M100 trailer for a new life as a camping trailer to use on some fairly steep gravel roads in the National Forest. The still has the original axle. I'd like to refit the trailer to use the same wheels as my 2012 Jeep JK Unlimited. However, I don't have much...
