Ke2427 how’s the new Disco treating you? Any luck with the rack and awning?

    This truck is unbelievable good

Maybe something like the Peregrine 180 would work.

    This truck is unbelievable good

I don't think the batwing awning will work. The rear hatch sticks up 12-14 inches above roofline when open

    This truck is unbelievable good

I'll play. I've had a 2014 trd offroad since new and now also have a 2017 td6 disco no rear locker. The taco has 140k, never had any problems but have replaced all suspension, tough dog sdjustable front coils, uca, iron man leaf springs and fox adjustable remote res rears. Also bigger duratracs...

Disco 2 skinny 16" wheels - calling all wheel guru's

Call up Rovers North and get a set of OEM heavy duty coils and oem shocks. I installed them on a friend's Disco and they rode great. Around 1 inch of lift, maybe more if your coils are shot.

And one of them measures in mpg not gpm.

    This truck is unbelievable good

Dieselranger so far this rig is amazing. Only have a few hundred miles on it so far but was able to hit a few unimproved roads with the family today in the rain. The level of smoothness and comfort compared to my tacoma with full suspension and adjustable shocks is unbelievable. Also getting...

    This truck is unbelievable good

Funny to see this today as I have a modified 14 Tacoma off road and am picking up a Td6 Discovery this afternoon. I'll put some miles on the rover and report back. Excited to have a capable vehicle in stock form for long road trips. The Tacoma will never be sold but the 1000-2000 mile road trips...

Alu-Cab Canopy for 3rd Gen Tacoma

Just talked to Rin and looks like I'm good to go on that other canopy. I think I met you when you were camping in VT with him and Chris Shontz came into camp. I had the grey taco from RI and theblack and white English pointer.

Alu-Cab Canopy for 3rd Gen Tacoma

Hey thanks I'll email Rin today. I talked to someone at OK and they said a 3rd gen could work on 2nd but were vague about it. Thanks again and if I talk to anybody looking for a 3rd gen I'll send them your way.

Alu-Cab Canopy for 3rd Gen Tacoma

Thanks for the reply. Let me know if the sale falls through. I’ll be talking to Rin and definitely picking one up soon. Had a chance to look at a few on tacos up in VT a while back and I’m sold on the construction of the Alu-Cab. Heading to Newfoundland mid August and it’s time to upgrade from...

Alu-Cab Canopy for 3rd Gen Tacoma

Hi m(a)ce I am interested in your canopy but I’ve got a 2nd gen. Not sure if it can be converted tho. I can try to get ahold of Rin on Monday and see what he says about conversion. Let me know if it’s still for sale. Thanks, Brian.

    Flexopower 444 lithium

So I was able to contact flexopower and they warranty the unit for one year and can service it after that period is up. They then say that the battery is non replaceable so I’m not sure if they mean by the consumer or at all. I just sent them another email to get some clarity on that. The cell...

    Flexopower 444 lithium

So it seems like there are many options to build yourself, obviously, but this seems to be packaged well. I am also curious about what battery it is running and what warranty and repair work would look like. I'll try to call flexopower tomorrow and see if I can get any info. They seem to get...

    Flexopower 444 lithium

I do agree with you that a better/more capacity system could be built although prob not for the 349$ that the 444 is going for but you would end up with more capacity but I don’t think you could package a home built one as well. I need to do more research before I decide but portability is a...

    Flexopower 444 lithium

Has anyone got their hands on one of these yet? Seems to have all of the options I would want but not sure on the quality. Wonder how it would compare to a yeti 400 lithium? I’m looking to run an arb 50 and just general weekend camping use. My interest in this type of power pack is the ability...

Seeing My WJ in a New Light...and Some Questions for the Resident Pros

CC I think a 2500# skiff would be no problem on the light duty which does raise the rear spring rate a bit iirc. As long as you are not running a bumper or winch you will enjoy it.

Seeing My WJ in a New Light...and Some Questions for the Resident Pros

I had an 01 Overland that I picked up used a few years back, one owner and all records. Had around 90k on it when I got it. The shocks were worn so I put on old man emu light duty kit to get rid of the wallowing and a set of all terrains in the stock size ( could have went up a size or 2) also...

    ECGS front differential bushing replacement?

I had a 01 4door tacoma with 205000 miles and had similar symptoms after putting a ome hd lift on it. Added a diff drop after about 2k and still had vibration in 2wd. Ordered ecgs bushing and drift to install, took about 2hrs on my lift to do the job (which wasn't very difficult) and had no...
