    Brake Pads for Overweight Tacoma

There is definitely more to braking than locking up the tires, and you made an excellent point on heat management. The Powerbrake rotors are 13.78" with 48 vanes to help with cooling. They also have paint marks on the edges that will basically melt off at different temps so if the brakes are...

    Brake Pads for Overweight Tacoma

Here is the reply I got from Powerbrake for those of you interested. With our background in the building of race car brake systems we would usually decide on the caliper hydraulic ratios for a race car by taking a number of factors into account, one being the master cylinder size and volume...

    Brake Pads for Overweight Tacoma

They have Tacoma specific kits. From what I remember they take the size of your master cylinder and design the caliper to work with the stock system. I can tell you from my personal experience that it firmed up my pedal, and with a 7,000lb Tundra it stops right now. I will inquire about how...

    Brake Pads for Overweight Tacoma

There are a lot of Overland shops installing these brakes with great success. I run them on my 1st gen Tundra and it went from sketchy to awesome with just adding these. I know several Tacoma owners running these, and the increase in braking power in pretty amazing. They are also designed to...

Build opinions for 5thgen TRD Pro.

I have found the TRD Pro suspension is a waste of money when you start adding on accessories. If you are buying a new vehicle just the the Off Road, and upgrade the suspension with something that will support the weight of the vehicle.

Tundra or Tacoma re gear with fourwheel camper opinions 4.88

Are you talking about your 2016? The 5.7 is a much different animal than the 4.7 Before I regeared I would drop down into second sometimes pulling the passes here in WA. Now I hardly drop out of OD. At 70 mph I'm at about 2300 rpm.

Tundra or Tacoma re gear with fourwheel camper opinions 4.88

I run 4.88's in my 01 with 35's. I think if you are going to stay with 33's you should probably go 4.56. I do highly recommend doing it though. It was honestly one of the best mods I've made to date. Hauling the camper, new gears will take some of the stress off the transmission, especially...

Try Super Lube for the Chaos arms. Most times the squeaking is from the bushings, not the uniball.

    TaTundra 1 gen DC build

I have a 2001 Tundra with 35's and I am running 4.88's. My opinion is 4.56 would have been just about right, but I traded off some hwy performance for off-road performance. I don't regret 4.88's for one second.
