    My M416 Build

Progress: Well, this project has taken a lot longer than I expected. I've spent so much time working on this thing, that my wife is ready to kill me. I also had a discussion with our kids and said, "daddy's sorry that i've been so focused on this silly thing, but you all benefit from it, you...

    Frame and Tub Paining Questions

Thanks, ill call and get prices tomorrow on the metal. I have a question regarding painting with epoxy. I assume I spray the epoxy primer and hit it a second time within approx 30 mins? Then do I wait another 30 minutes and apply the top coat? Does it have to be an epoxy?

Thanks whatevah It's not a resto, just a trailer that I want to last for a bunch more years. I'll check the monstaliner out. The epoxy paint is supposed to be awesome though. I think it will seal in everything really well. I am thinking the diy route for everything. Plan to get it blasted this...

Got a little more work done this weekend. Fixed the frame rot on both sides of the front from rail. Cut some LED circuit boards and fit them to the stock lights. Still have to plan the mounting brackets and get rid of the Blackout filter. I will probably install a red reflector in the...

    My M416

very nice... I like your top idea. Is it water tight? Looks like it would be lots lighter then a full metal top. I like the button snap look too. Any closer pictures of the top and the rack?

Uggg Wheels don't fit dexter hubs!!!

Yea, but then I need a trailer to to the "yo" home after the abuse. This kind of defeats the purpose of have a trailer for your expedition vehicle. :wings: Sorry, had to make a friendly, playful comment back!

Mike, Thanks for the informative post. It helped out bunch. I called Jeremy yesterday and he said.... "Oh are you talking about Mike? O I know exactly what you need....." He took care of sending me out a set of 1.5's. I assume you got a dexter axle too. I didn't do brakes, but my hubs got in...

Uggg Wheels don't fit dexter hubs!!!

Thanks NJTaco... exactly what I was looking for. durango_60- I am thinking about that too... but then you weaken the rim a bit. I don't know that I would evr want it on my vehicle while doing 60mph on the highway. It is a thought though.

Uggg Wheels don't fit dexter hubs!!!

Well I purchase a Dexter 3500lb axle for my m416. I ordered it in a 61'' width and went to put the wheels on today and the freaking dust cap gets in the way of the rims. I can't even get the end of the lug nut to touch the holes. Is there a different hub that may have the proper back spacing to...

Spring Center Measurement for the M416

Not really. I didn't get the brakes, It was an extra expense and I didn't want to spend it now. It is currently going to be behind a Rubicon, but I think it will soon find a home behind something bigger like a Grand Cherokee or Commander. So I didn't think I needed to shell out the extra cash at...
