“Unique” DIY Expedition Truck Possible ?

We would like to upgrade from our Sprinter Van so I’m trying to figure out what kind of money we’re looking at and if this is even doable without spending stupid money so lets get the unique part out of the way.

We want to DIY your standard 4-6 wheel expedition truck (commercial chassis with a box) but the important part isit will need to be able to carry a slat-mill for our dogs which can be pulled out or lowered etc so we can use it. We need the mill on the road to run our Boerboel on days when we can’t get him out for exercise due to rain or were just stuck driving all day. We are also going to venture into the “mobile slat mill” buisness and would like to use this truck as our demo vehicle. The mill measures 24” wide and 86” long. The top can be broken down etc.

Are there any chassis out there that can accommodate a mill stowed underneath? Or maybe some type of tray that can be pulled out from the back of sides ?

Currently we’re have a 2013 170wb extended 2wd Sprinter Van with a diy build. This van has worked well for us in the 9 yrs we’ve had it. We’ve gone all over the country but over those years we’ve accumulated more gear, heavier gear, gotten older and now we have a new pup and the mill so we need more room!

The trucks below are wht we have in mind, style wise but we’re open to whatever chassis works.

Do you want to use it in the van or outside on the ground.
There is lots of space between the wheels, under the body on most commercial truck chassis.
Not sure there is enough space for anything 24" wide tho.

Or store it vertical, fold it down for use inside or outside.

I'm thinking of the resale of a unit designed around a mill and suggest thinking of it as MTD bike(s) or motor cycle and look how those are carried inside or outside the box across the back.

We would have to use it outside of the truck. I’m thinking maybe parallel with the frame rails like a long tool box?
