05+ Tacoma Hood blackout?

Anyone know if these are being made? I put one on my white Dicovery II and it looked awesome and performed very well with the Light Forces on the roof rack. As I plan my buildup, lights will be a part of it and I would think the blackout would be just as useful on the Tacoma. Any info is appreciated!

I called Vigg Designs and they are going to send me some pics of a hood blackout kit they made for Toyota USA's SEMA Tacoma. When / if they send the pics I'll post them to this thread. Perhaps, if they look good, we can get a few ExPo members to order and a get a price break - Hopefully there wil be more to come...

its called flat black 99cent can at walmart. ha just kidding check a local sign maker perhaps they would have the correct vinyl to do the job. maybe you could start all this mess. hmm spraypaint i dunno its why i own a 1986 toyota not much to feel bad about when you only have like 6k in it.

I have not heard anything from them yet - I plan to call tomorrow to remind them. If they have some pics, I'll bring them over here for all of us to see.

Is it just me, or do you find yourself genuinely impressed when someone does what they say they will do? Every-time I hear a commitment, I brace myself for the inevitable disappointment. Now-a-days anyway...

Well, I just made a hood blackout out of standard 3M vinyl. It is a little shiny, but better than the gloss white paint. Now for more lights!

I don't understand why you guys all want white trucks just to make the part you see a darker color. You wouldn't have the glare problem if you went with adventure red! :shakin: !

Well, I have a black truck and wish it were lighter. I'd suffer through a white hood if I could.
Has anyone with a dark color truck painted the top (along with the top of the black SnugTop) white?

NP - there is a Discovery I here in Denver that is dark green with a white roof. Looks great and I am sure that is a very practical mod in the summer months.

Coincidence or not, there are bonus points available for integrating any aspect of Lucas into your outfit.
