2006 DRZ400 SM

This bike started life as a commuter bike in SM trim. I put 10k freeway and canyon carving miles on it, then decided I wanted a dirtbike :) I sent the motor out to Eddie Cisneros in Colorado (the DRZ expert!!) and had it rebuilt with a bigbore (440) and an FCR pumper carb. A set of dirt wheels, a little suspension tuning, bigger tank, different gearing, skid plate, bigger pegs, higher bars and bingo, we now have a dirt bike :) I kept the SM wheels and swap them out on occasion, such a fun toy on 17” wheels!!

Current mileage: 13,715 (full rebuild at 10,500)
Oil changes every 500-750 miles (overkill, I know, but I’m pretty sure the bike likes it)
Air filters changed more than often enough :) (2 extra air filters included)
Chain and sprockets new at about 12,000 miles

Random list of upgrades:
Zeta spring back levers (extra levers in toolbag)
Zeta handguards with small flags
Protaper CR-Hi bars (stock bars included)
Double-Take mirror (stock mirrors included)
Acerbis 4.25gal tank with standard and locking cap (stock tank included)
Wolfmann Enduro Tankbag
Gutz Racing tall seat (stock seat included)
Custom 4130 foot pegs (WAY better than stock)
Hyde Racing composite skid plate
Thumpertalk MTCT (manual timing chain tensioner, stock one sucks)
Custom rear rack with removable tail bag platform
Rear tail bag (unzips from platform, expands to hold more gear)
Tool tube mounted where charcoal canister was, holds plenty of tools and spares for long rides
SM wheelset, 70% Dunlop front, 100% brand new Continental on rear
FCR pumper carb (HUGE improvement over the stock CV carb, included of course)
Extra 13t and 16t countershaft sprockets (14t on bike)
Interstate AGM battery (less than one year old)
Brand new Kenda Trackmasters front and rear

This bike is super reliable, I wouldn’t hesitate to hop on and ride to Death Valley, ride trails all weekend and then ride home (in fact, I’ve done that many times) It has plenty of torque for single tracks and hillclimbs and winds out enough to have fun in the desert. I really hate to sell this bike, but I just picked up a newer Husky and can’t justify having two street legal motorbikes in the garage (read: wife is making me sell it)

Asking $4400 for everything. $3900 without SM wheelset

I've ridden this bike and it knows how to pick up her dress and run. Don't let the SM version full you. Gabe has taken this Everywhere and has schooled me everytime. Whoever buys it won't be disappointed.
