Just SAS it like me:sombrero:. You get to keep all your modern stuff and build it as strong as you want in the process. Rockin old school iron is sweet too though.

I must admit, the IFS was a pretty major concern of mine when I picked up my 1-ton. After spending way too much on Cognito upgrades, I'm convinced they can be made relatively bombproof (well, okay, perhaps firecracker proof). Just did some nasties in Baja at about 1k over listed GVWR and the front end performed without a flaw (upgraded UCAs, tie rods and ends, pitman and idler arm supports, etc.). Doesn't compare to the Pro Rock setup I had in my former Sporty, but it sure rides nicer. Since it took several major pot holes (actually, calling them pot holes is a serious understatement -"road-wide drop offs" is more acurate) at 60 MPH+ at that weight without issue, I think it will work for most uses. However, when in Moab this upcoming May (hopefully), the Chev (because these wheels make my butt look big) will not be hitting the trails (I'll save that for the dirt bikes). Nice shots Matt.

I really can't believe that you fit through the gap on elephant hill! I feel silly for folding the mirrors in on my Cherokee now. I still couldn't imagine taking my full size chevy through there though. The torsion bar ride on my 03 2500 makes me keep the windows rolled so I don't bounce my head off of them. Good job and great looking truck!
