Might just have to re-arch them things.

Yeah the entire pack needs to be redone I think.

6000# is a pretty good dd weight. My T100 loaded down with camping gear (no sliders or rear swing out w/ spare) tips the scales at 5600#. And you have a V8! Haha

Yeah I was surprised. I was expecting to weight more lol. I don't carry to much more gear. Only thing missing was my tool box and recovery bag. Than a few camping gear. Food and drinks. Probably another 3-400 lbs if we include fully loaded extra water and fuel

I'm thinking mine may have been used commercially. In the right lighting I can almost make out some fading that could have been lettering on the door. Also, some rivnuts installed in the bed an some existing radio wiring.

Yeah made sure that I found a tundra that was hardly used as a truck lol

Wow Jose, I'm surprised you are still sitting low. They definitely rode nice for me too but they were just too low. I thought the extra leaves were going to be the ticket. Curious how this all unfolds, I'm sure Eric and Deaver will get it figured out though.

Yeah with the extra pack installed it has the Same arch as my stock pack and 3 leaf AAL. I haven't heard back from Eric yet. I don't think throwing more leafs into it is the correct way but will see. I think the original pack wasnt built correctly at all. Probably just a standard g57 and now it's a g57 with one AAL.

I do like the fact that the spring is an inch longer and will utilize the SFK rear most shackle setting.

I'm running a 2500 HD back that has been cut down to work with the stock tundra top leaf. It gave me 4 inches of lift and it still flexes great. I tow a 3000 lb trailer with the bed loaded to go camping all the time and it still sits a little high.

More specs? What year? 2500HD Chevy? Did you instal yourself or was it done by someone else?

The leaf springs came off a 03-04 chevy 2500 HD. I built the leaf springs myself and also installed them myself. If you would like pics send me a text and I can send them. I can't upload pics from my phone for some reason. 7075923342

I wanted my fogs to be on without the headlights if needed. study the EWD and wired it up so that it can be turn on with just the parking lights. reason i did this was so i can still keep the auto off headlights. which will turn off any lights on when i turn the truck off and open the door. i can still turn the fog on with key off, just need to turn on parking lights.

cut the red with yellow strip wire at switch (taped off the harness side)

Realize this is a bit of a revival, but there you go. Just purchased a 1st gen double cab for family adventures. Great looking truck! I am interested in keeping the auto off headlights with the factory fog switch. The links to the pictures in this post are dead (for me anyway) do you have this written up elsewhere or can you repost the picts?

Thanks

Mike

I'll have to see if the photos are saved anywhere. The problem is Toyota has like 20 different wiring diagrams for ever different year and configuration. The DC I think shares a lot with the sequoia including wiring. I found a few instructions online but ultimately had to find the wiring diagram for my year and access cab.

I get asked a lot why I don't do air bags and this last photo shows why. I don't run bumps and I like being able to get all the travel I can. Droop and compressed. I can compress my springs to touch the frame. Leaving no room for bags. I like to be able to cycle the entire shock travel which is 9 inches which would translate to even more than 9 inches in wheel travel.

Say stock has 10 inches of travel and ride height is right in the middle at 5 inches. Problem i see often is those that lift their vehicles just change their ride height but maintain same as shock travel. Whenever I lift a vehicle I want to gain lift and travel. Obviously more work on a platform that doesn't have much info or aftermarket support but it's all part of the fun/build.

Thanks. I did notice that doing searches and reading other people's builds. Will plug away.

Nice Droop.

Re-redoing things the third time
I am mounting my bags just inboard of the leaf springs for that reason and using daystar cups. I am doing it because I want to run hydro bumps in the stock location as well. I think that in your case though with the shocks mounted in the stock location that the bags wouldnt fit.

I rather not run bags. Just to much stuff going on in the rear for my liking. I'll run the overland pack for a while and see how they hold up. If they don't. I'll look into a linked system with maybe ORIs

So I been busy working and we been getting a lot of rain here in California that I haven't been able to do much. Still testing the archive garage overland springs. They seem to work well but imo could use one more tune before they are ready for production. Mainly need a little more lift and a left and right spring. I got a tad "taco" lean.
I just need to fully flex the rear and see how if my 9 inch travel shocks are restricting any droop or if it's perfectly matched before I send in my final report on them and hope I can get another set of springs based of my feedback.

Till than I been wanting to install sound sound deadener and hope they help with some insulation. While the carpet was out. I decided to pressure wash the stains from the last owner. Surprisingly most of it was washed out so I'm happy to have clean carpet that doesn't smell. Well it didn't smell before but they are damn clean lol.

At the same time I been dying to fit a 10 gallon water tank behind the passenger seat below my fridge. Trying to get more weight on the passenger side to offset the 26 gallon fuel tank. Once the carpet was removed I was able to see that the tray was bolted in so I didn't have to use my sawsall. Next time I guess lol. Once tray was removed I had to cut the freshly clean carpet to fit the tank. It's all mocked up and now I just need to build a cage for the tank and bolt it down. Than figure out the plumbing. Basically tie it in to my current OBS set up. Goal is to turn pump on and have it heat the water while driving 10 minutes before arriving to camp. Than run just the pump for the shower without running the truck.

I did have to move my platform in the back up about 2 inches to accommodate the 9 inch height of the water tank. Was wary my fridge wasn't gonna be able to open the lid because my old set up allows me to fully open the fridge door. After testing fitting it doesn't look like it be much of a problem. Lid still opens more than enough even though it did stop it a tad. Well enough talk. I'll let the photos do the rest. Enjoy.

Sent in my final measurements and testing. It's now up to Eric at Archive Garage to decide what is next.

Manage to get 33 inches of the ground before lift. Also the 10 inch fox 2.0 universal shock is a perfect match. I able to use just about 9 inch travel in the shock. I'm overall impressed with the pack but I did ask for one more adjustment but again it's out of my hands.

Thats impressive! I might have to pick up a set of springs once they're all dialed in. Ive always been reluctant on the G57's because of all the weight in the rear. But I'm glad to see more aftermarket support for the overland builds!
