A 4runner is a great overlanding vehicle with reliability. I like the power of the V8 but it also might be small for 3 people and all your gear.
I love rovers, but a 110 would be way too small and parts impossible to find below the border. I was amazed at how small the 110s really are when I sat in a Camel Trophy, very narrow.
