Hey @cascadediesel, thanks for the heads up! I ended up going slightly over budget and winning the auction on this one. I drove the exact same 4runner in high school, right down to the engine, color, manual windows and no A/C. Ours succumbed to the Maine salted roads in 2005 with around 250k miles on it. It was so rusty by that point, the rim wouldn't hold air on one tire. We patched some of the rust holes in the body with red duct tape. I'd been searching "22RE" on Craigslist for a few years for a similar 2nd gen 4runner. I love how old vehicles hold up in the Pacific Northwest climate. Excited to go pick it up this week!
