My wife and I bought this Cruiser last year with the intention of driving it forever. It was my wife's daily driver, and as such I needed to know it would be safe, reliable and mechanically sound. The Cruiser was in beautiful shape when we bought it, but I knew it needed some freshening up to be a true daily driver. A few weeks after buying it I took it to renowned Land Cruiser mechanic Georg Esterer at Valley Hybrids in Stockton. Georg went over the truck with a fine tooth comb and replaced, upgraded or fixed everything he could find. All in all I spent $6,000 to bring this truck up to be a quality daily driver. Work performed is listed below. Georg and his crew had the cruiser for a few weeks and literally went through every nut and bolt on the the thing. After getting daily updates, pictures and an ever growing list of parts upgraded and replaced, I finally got the call to come pick it up. The cruiser has been driven over 5k miles since then, every day for the nearly a year, and has not had one single hiccup. Fires right up every time, runs flawlessly, runs cool, shifts smooth. Not one single issue. The steering, handling and ride quality are light years above what it was when I first bought it. Its basically riding on all brand new running gear.

Unfortunately it has come time to sell this awesome rig. With our expanding family we needed the option of third row seating, so a new 4Runner was purchased to take the place of the beloved Cruiser. I really wish I could just keep her, but I just have too many rigs :(

"The Bad"
I really don't think there is anything bad about this rig! i love the thing! But there are a few items worth noting, a few imperfections if you will. . .

-Paint. The 26 year old "Beige Metallic" is wearing a bit thin in spots. Mostly on the roof and hood, and has a faded patina look to it. I personally don't think it looks bad. Kinda like a dash of grey around the temples, gives her a sophisticated look :)

-Dings, scratches etc. She has a few. . . Nothing major or serious damage, just a handful of paint chips, dings and little dents in the bumpers. The worst of the lot is along the passenger side rear door, and is visible in the picture. The prior owner had used touch-up paint to cover the chipped paint, and its held up well. . .

So here she is, ready for the next adventure. Whether its camping, 4wheeling, trips to Tahoe for snow season, or Baja for surf, or just back and forth from work and play with you and the fam, or the dog. . . She's ready to go! Call or text to come see her. Located in Penngrove, CA. North Bay Area. About an hour north of San Francisco.

Absolutely one of the best upgrades I've made on this truck. The stock headlights are a joke. You can barely tell they are on unless its pitch black out. The upgraded system from SLCfj62 is light years (pun intended) better. Heavy duty wiring, relays and watertight Bussman fuse enclosure make for a rock solid power system to run the proven Hella H1/H4 lights. The best headlight upgrade out there for these trucks, and no longer available!!
