We have driven this van across the country and back this summer, at least 90% of the time running on filtered waste veggie oil without any major problems! However, we have noticed it to be a bit under powered when climbing hills in the mountains given the combination of the altitude/lack of air and a full load. If pushed too hard, it will become warm and potentially overheat. We have had it checked out multiple times this summer by different mechanics, and recently replaced the thermostat to help. We have been told everything with the cooling system is working correctly and it does not appear there is anything that needs to be addressed, and the best option is to take it easy when climbing. We have not experienced this issue at all when cruising at highway speeds around the country, only when climbing mountain passes.

There is a steady oil leak, the source of which has not been found by the mechanics who have looked at the van recently. When driving long distances, we keep an eye on it regularly and it has not seemed to grow at all since we've had it.
