1997 Tacoma Locking Hub Question????

No, it's quite an involved process to put manual hubs on your truck. It includes changing rotors, hubs, bearings, spindles (I think) and of course new hub locks.

Do you in fact have auto-locking hubs or just no hub at all as most V6 Tacoma's were equipped. If you do have auto-hubs then yes, they will swap right over. If you have have no hubs at all, as CA-RJ pointed out, you will need quite a few components from a Tacoma that originally shipped with hubs, CV shafts included.

From what I just read, the fact that the 95.5 tacoma I just purchased has locking hubs is a good thing and not common?

Yes and no, unfortunately the hub equipped trucks have smaller CV axles. On the plus side, when they break you can unlock a hub :D
