I'll trade you a really nice 64 IIa for it, Dale.

Just kidding (but not totally) another nice conversion!

Hmmm, It looks just like mine except mine is Oxford Blue. Also a 99 SD.

Mine is not for sale. Nice to see it has an interested following however.

My comment was not meant as an insult, I'm sorry to everyone for it coming across that way. It was a genuine inquiry. I recognize the labor, research and energy that goes in to a project like this. I didn't mean to hurt anyones feelings or make anyone upset. Sorry.

nice looking truck but I'm curious how one derives the price tag. arent d1's like $2-3000? how much is the engine shipped from the UK, like $4-5000? i would love a truck like this but at like 1/2 the price...

Two posts, and both are knocking other peoples for sale ads... That aint how it works around here dude. Go back to your other forums, and troll somewhere else.

NICE D-I's can command $4K.
The 300 Tdi can be purchased (IF you can find a good one) for around $4500-$6000 depending on mileage/condition. INSTALL runs in excess of $5000.00 or better. Finding one that has been installed and driving trouble free for the last two years (as in having someone else suss out all the problems ...) PRICELESS.

Let me know how your rust free sorted out '99 D-I Tdi conversion goes for just $8k, as I'll be your first buyer!! Wish you all the best!! In fact, I personally believe you owe it to us to do just that since you are in doubt of it's merit, and corresponding price tag. There would be so much less noise from the nondoers if they were responsible enough to simply do (ah- the problem, 'do') a little research before being critical, much less aquire (nice term for 'do') a little hands on experience...
Off the soap box, sorry- just gripes me all the cyber experts!!

Don't take it personally Dale. Your screen name says it all. This is what you do.
The guy made two inapropriate posts in 5 mins both bashing diesel trucks for sale and those were his first and only posts. Kind of like the flamer who made the military blood bank fridge/hemacool thread so interesting.

Unbelievable. Someone got a smoking deal on this. The auction ended at $12.5k. I was going to contact the owner and see if he wanted to trade for my 2000 Land Cruiser. This is one insane D1.
