2001 taco manual trans ?

Hey guy I’m trying to help my mom out, she lives in another town and she’s trying to get ready for a road trip.

So she's been leaking fluid from the drives side of the transmission for about a month since last oil change from local lub shop. She found the cause it was coming from a loose bolt on the drives side 1/2 way up on the tranny case .so I’m guessing that this is the fill/inspection plug .if not were dose one refill and check fluid level? Oh and the type would be a great help also.

Btw. I’m totally jealous of her truck. It was so fun to drive and pretty dame capable .kinda long though. lol

Dealer?

I don't have that transmission. SO I can't help.
If she is heading out on the road trip, I say have a dealer (or trusted shop) look at it. The piece of mind for her (and you) for less than $100 would be worth it to me.
