I also was able to get my addco sway on tonight, much beefier than the stock sway bar, not sure how it handles yet, will see after i get more of a chance to drive it

and for a cosmetic touch, i tinted the tail lights, not too dark but definitely noticeable, taped off the turn signal and reverse light and scuffed them with a green scotch pad, followed by about 6 or 7 coats of VHT night shades and 3 coats of clear

the rig is looking good!

...the only other complaint, and not much of a complaint, it rides REALLY stiff, i blames this on the upgraded shocks and 10 ply tires, real smooth on country roads, its the torn up city streets that really suck...

what PSI are you running on the street? i only run 30 on the street with my KM2's. i tried 35 at first but was actually wearing the center more, so i started only doing 30 to 33. you can do a chalk test to see if you're running too high (some times it doesn't work, i wouldn't run below 30 on street regardless of what it indicates): http://www.ehow.com/how_6948382_chalk-tires.html

yes and no, overall it took care of the majority of it, the front bumper still required alot of plastic to be removed up front, and with the sway bars disconnected it still rubs the flares, and there are spots on the inner fender up front where the paint is rubbed off where you can tell it definitely rubbed, i have limit straps on order right now to take some of that extra out and to keep the coil springs from falling out, after putting them back in not once, but twice on the trail was not a fun chore

the only other spot i had issue with is there is a thin piece of sheet metal on the front passenger side, more specifically the piece the air bag sensor is mounted to, well there tire hit it, bent it over at a 90 degree angle and took the sensor with it, so i've been running around with out that sensor for a couple of months now, probably should get that replaced

i haven't had anytime to wheel lately with work and school and i'm currently trying to save some money and get this thing paid off

so i spent a long week waiting to get my jeep back from the differential guy, been driving my old escort all week and it was driving me nuts

So as it sits now, the rear end has had every bearing and seal replaced, complete brake job, minus the rotors, Aussie locker installed and a new Riddler MFG cover powder coated orange, and yes i know, locker in a D35 = broken axles, i give myself 2 broken shafts before i consider a swap, then depending on several factors it will receive either an 8.8" with wheel spacers or a full on D60 swap and lift

my pile of parts to start

cover done in orange

also decided that i was gonna move the driver's seat back some, don't know why i never thought of it before, track and slides are still functional and gave me 3" of additional leg room, made a noticeable difference, as for rear seat leg room, well there wasn't much back there before

another item on my list is to remedy this problem

don't know if i wanna have a skid plate made or do a tank tuck

Went out to our local spot a couple of weeks ago, locker worked pretty well but the jeep's biggest down fall in the mud is ground clearance, got it stuck once but got out pretty easy, not too many good pics but you can see in these the LED bar works pretty well,

Then today we went out to Southington Off-road Park for their black friday run, the locker is awesome, went up alot of stuff in the snow that i couldn't do in the summer

The park is situated in an old quarry, it has alot of trails perched on the edge, above and below of the cliff face

This is my first real trail damage, looks alot worse in person, flattened the rocker right out and creased it pretty good, my order some rock rails from JCR after the first of the year

My buddy ended his day with a broken tie rod, had to drive back to his house, get his brothers truck and trailer and then fight to get it on the trailer, i think at this point he was tired of me taking pictures

right now i'm at a toss up between building it bigger and stronger or keeping it low and more of an expedition style build capable of occasional rock crawling, the deciding factor on this too will be if i buy a truck or a car next year, i'm gonna be graduating with my bachelors in the spring and my current job will require alot of travel so a car is more likely to happen, also alot of our local spots to wheel aren't exactly "legal" and were starting to lose more and more spots one by one, but for now i've got one more big day wheeling planned in about 2 weeks and other then the occasional backyard run, i won't be back out till about june or so

Great build! It is so good to see more WJs out there being built and used for more than just a soccer mom mobile. I particularly love your spare tire carrier build. I just printed out all of your pics and fully intend to shamelessly steal your ideas:sombrero: Question; What size steel did you use and do you still have the dimensions avail or did you just eyeball and build on the fly? Thanks and nice rig once again.

more or less built it on the fly, actually stole the idea from several ideas over on jeepforum.com, some threads on there with way more pictures than I have

here's one link, but there's a few more too if you jump over there and take a look around

yep 5100's, ordered them from Nick Kolak over on jeepforum, $289 for all 4 shipped, showed up in about a week, Kolak is awesome, has great prices on everything and is very well known on jeepforum

only issue i had was i couldn't use my bar pin eliminators with them on the front, i couldn't get the factory pin out of the Bilstein bushing, so I just ran out to the parts store and bought some stainless bolts and ditched the bar pin elims
