Hi Rob,

Once again a slow response, sorry. I am having Phoenix Customs Camper put a roll cage of sorts around the cab and the camper to hopefully avoid the roof racks being instantly erased at speed :) I am not sure I can get the whole package too much lower. I want the standing height inside to be 6'2" as I am 6'1-3/4" :) That is before the roof top is lifted, making it comfortable while in motion and usable. I will be in Moab and then Denver at the end of April to get the camper installed. It will be done, fingers crossed, in early June and the adventure begins. Colorado, Montana, Wyoming and Canada (West) have been proposed. My youngest just through out South Carolina and then West along the coast to California. We all took a West Coast drive together 3 summers ago in a small convertible sports car. They loved it, but cannot fit in the car anymore :) We may take a few weeks to get back to Idaho going up the coast? Lots of options. I hope you are enjoying the heat.

I have a 2003 U500 and I use Rainx on the windows all the time, That helps. As for the Mirrors Mine are heated and help for snow and ice but I don't think they do much for light rain.
This is the second U500 I have had and this one is at GXV right now getting a camper put on it, should be done first part of June.
We will be taking it to Overland East this year.

Window tinting on the front window and front side windows is also illegal in most of europe. I do not know if this applies to foreign vehicles visiting?
