2007 KTM 690 sm

Do any of you have any experience with this bike? I'm looking for my first bike and found one locally for a great price. I would like a bike that would work great around town and short out of town trips (100-200 miles round trip), does well on dirt roads and can handle light two track off road. Anyone have anything to say good or bad about the bike? Would it fit my needs?

I can't speak directly to it, although it looks like a lot of fun. It's a lot of bike for a first bike and KTMs are obviously at the performance side of the scale. KTMs get bad mouthed a bit for reliability and maintenance, but I believe the LC4 engine has been very reliable. It's also known for a lot of vibrations, but I think later ones may have had a counterbalancer to help - but I'm not sure.
