***SOLD***
I purchased this bike about 1 year ago with 421 miles on it for the purpose of learning how to ride, and it has been dropped several times at slow speeds on the dirt (never on the pavement). Some of the plastics are scratched and the paint in the tank chipped, but not dented. It now has 5075 miles on it, with all recommended maintenance performed at the appropriate intervals. I averaged in the mid-60's mpg over the past year (at about 200 lbs) with almost even amounts of dirt & pavement riding. A lighter rider should get much better fuel economy. Asking price: $2000.
The good:
The not so good:
I will also include the stock tires (Continental Trail Wings with about 2500 miles), stock handlebar, stock foot pegs, passenger strap thingy (never used), and the owner's manual. Give me a holler if you are interested and/or would like to stop by to check it out! I'm sad to see it go, but it has served me well -- and the DR650 is a much more appropriate fit for me now that I've gone through a training phase. This would make an excellent bike for someone just starting out, or for a smaller/shorter rider.

The good:
- Dunlop D606 tires with about 1500 miles
- Renthal riser bars
- Acerbis hand guards
- KTM foot pegs (much larger than the stocks)
- Rear rack from Cycle-Racks
- rear turn signals from a DRZ400 (much shorter & flexier than the stocks)
- new plastics around headlight (the stock was signed by Lois Pryce)
The not so good:
- Clutch replaced at about 4950 miles (got smoked in Baja)
- Horn replaced after dying during a water crossing (not good to honk it when wet)
- Rear pillion handles broke due to heavy luggage & bumpy roads in Baja, but re-welded
- Rear mount (aluminum) for chain guard broke
- One bolt on the clutch case broke off during attempted field repair
