So sad to see :( That's Eric's JK. We were with him on the first and last trip to the Mojave desert with it. Then got a call on one of our trips that he passed away. It's a crying shame that he's gone. What a guy, he'll be missed.

There might still be a pocket knife under the windshield, behind the dash on the passenger side...whoever buys this....it would be super awesome to contact us on here as it was given to our friend Eric from his father...might be a super nice gesture and maybe get the knife back to him? Just a thought.

RIP Eric Doran

I didn't know Eric, but heard the story and have been to Eat Chow.

I'll look for the knife. If I can get it out of the dash, I'll get it to his Dad.

******?????? I had no idea. Again, Eric was a great guy and we had a great trip to the Mojave.
His jeep is in the background.

My appologies for stealing the thread...I am just simply shocked.....

I believe that you are speaking of this knife:

It's in the glove box and will get back to the family.

No worries - to be expected.

I think he was wondering if it was originally an X, Sahara, or Rubicon.

I'd guess he was interested in whether or not it has lockers and what the gear ratio is.

*Condolences to the friends and family, well done getting that knife back to his dad...

That would be the one. We had some pretty good laughs trying to fish that thing out from behind the dash! Almost got it a couple times too!

Someone is going to get a pretty sweet JK.

Yep...I remember trying to get that thing out also!

Bump for a really nice/capable Jeep. If i remember correctly, the exo-cage was bent/built by the guy that fabs for Robby Gordon.

That sounds correct, as I know that it was a pro-race shop that did it. All Chromoly, nice stuff for sure.
