Great build. Please keep us up to date on the tires. I too drive an 05 F150 with the 5.4L. I'm in need of new tread and like the look of the Grappler. Have you modded the engine at all? I've added a 4" air intake. Does a nice job.

I have 5 star custom tunes and magnaflow exhaust. This isn't my favorite motor but it will get you from A to B. Tunes help the 5.4 a good bit, but it was hard coming from my tricked out 6.0 diesel.

I have the 08 and yes you will notice a difference in the lighter tires.I notice it going from light to heavy.I have thought of sporting two sets. One for the woods and one for pavement.

I notice a significant difference between my old load D's and these load E's on the 1/2 truck. truck is more sensitive to bumps with the E'e but handles better with the E's as well. The D's are a little more forgiving on the rough surface pavement.

Where did you get the covers for the fog lights? I am wanting to do yellow fogs too. I live next to a lake and it gets super foggy in the fall and spring, I could sure use the yellow light!

Great looking truck.

Your reasons for change to a gas eng are exactly the reason why I went with a gasser... I went with a smaller v8 because I'm all about driving s l o w with my overlander. But admittedly, I'm happy with the 15+ mpgs we're getting when conditions are right, even when fully loaded.
