2010 FJ Changes

I just found out the 2010 fj gets +19 hp and +1 MPG from a new dual vvt-i and roller rocker arms. Also a new army green color!:wings:

Forgive me I'm out of the loop on this one. Whats the current future thoughts on the FJC? As of a year or so ago the FJC was 'supposedly' on a short list of platforms to can given that its shared platform (the 4Runner) was getting a major redesign and they were not going to carry it over to the FJC? So it sounds like a 2010 is for sure , what about the years to come? Any insider info?

I read that in 4WDTO. Good news for me since it sounds like some nice engine upgrades will be available when it's time for me to rebuild or replace my 1GR-FE...

I could use +19 hp and +1 MPG from dual VVT-I and roller rocker arms myself. I wonder if this new configuration will receive a new engine name and if our current 4.0's will be able to accept these upgrades?

I have heard the next gen may have four real doors instead of the suicide doors.
If the FJ continues for a few more years, that could happen 2011/2012.

The FJ has a ton of potential "upgrades" that could make it even better. Removable top ala FJ40... 4 doors... anything to improve the heinous visibility from the B-pillar back would be welcomed. Those are the things that killed it for me when it came out.

I'm still liking what was dubbed the FJRunner, add true 4 doors and its a winner but could be pretty long?

It was actually well received at the public showing imo, I prefer it over the hustled tail end of the FJC

I go out pretty often with each and have ridden/driven both. I just don't like that one pictured at all.

Agree. Of course I don't like the looks of the 4runner at all.
