Great build and I would love to own as much as I wanted the Tacoma you sold a while back. I am curious to know what the next build you have in mind is going to be?

uhporkchop, thanks for the kind words. Not sure about the next build yet. The picture is so different these days with two little kids! We might need to wait until they grow up a bit before we can get back to the kind of vehicles we really love to drive.

Gang, got some shots this morning of the interior. You can see the Axe/Hi-Lift mount behind the rear seats, the hatch for the Habitat tent overhead, the switch panel on the left pillar, and the battery management on the right. Jeep did a nice job--the stereo, nav, and heated seats are great and the overall design is sharp. interiorfront1.jpginteriorback1.jpginteriorfront2.jpg

Wouldn't this be perfect with two little ones? That is why I want it?

resqd1, you're right, the truck could be great with kids and in fact we've had some great trips with our 3 year old daughter, including a 3,500 mile loop through northern Labrador. But we had another baby a few months ago and he's not even sleep trained yet. I don't expect we'll do as much travel and camping next year. Hopefully again in 2015. But in the meantime, I'd hate to see this amazing truck just collecting dust in the garage.

I know what you mean, I finally am at the point to get out there again with the 2 and 4 yr old boys, the problem with 2 and 4 yr olds in the house is there is no money left for Dads Toys anymore.

Is there any way you can take a few pics on the Ham setup? I'm really curious how you secured the head to the Vector Dock.

I will take a shot of the mounting of the ham face plate--the Jeep is in a friend's heated garage and I haven't been able to get over there yet. I'll send that soon!

A couple new shots. First, showing how the face plate attaches to the accessory bar on the dash. And the other to show how the truck will look with the logos removed. Note that I can remove the whole wrap--it's red underneath, but as mentioned, the wrap is nice because it protects the paint. It's the next owner's call though, of course. Happy New Year by the way! Thanks for checking out the truck. dashe.jpgEasterJeep2011p6eNOlogo.jpg

Amazing JK!

I love this truck. I spent months looking at it, and the Habitat, and considered selling my Land Cruiser to go this route. GLWS, very nice execution across the board with all elements.

You should get it J. ;)
I know someone who would want your LC80.

Gang, the truck is still available. Shoot me a PM if you have questions or want to make an offer. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

A couple more photos showing the AT Habitat tent--it fits 4 people easily (2 on each end) and offers such a great view. It's a really nice place to sleep. And it takes about 30 seconds to deploy and 5-10 minutes to pack back up. The interior shot just shows the front half of the tent--it's about 50 inches across so fits two full size sleeping pads perfectly. Of course, we love using the NEMO Cosmo Insulated pads.... deploy1.jpgdeploy2.jpgdeploy3.jpginsideTENT1.jpg

Stop posting pictures it keeps reminding me how bad I want this and how poor I am at the same time.
