Looks great you going to tuck that exhaust up or cut it off and dump under the truck?

Stupid big brother and their regulations I say a reg cab should be available with a V8 and options should be available at an as you want basis rather than packages. Like the good ole days when you could order a stripped down big block car or a fully loaded 6 cyl car and everything in between, if you where so inclined.

Yeah I'm going to cut the tail pipes right behind the hangers so they will dump beside the leaf shackles now and when I swap the chevy 63s the shackles will be back farther so the exhaust will be beter protected then but yeah I'm going to cut them off tomorrow

Yeah it sucks I would not mind ordering a standard cab v8 power nothing ,no radio for a friday night toy but oh well

And for anyone interested getting rid of the stock bumper/hitch and adding this bumper gave me 9" more ground clearance at the lowest point on the bumper and that gave me 10* more departure angle

Before bumper hight 21" and 28* departure
After with new bumper is 30" and 38* departure

Looks great. Is your state mud flap/fenderflare anal? Here in utah you have to have at least half your tire covered up and down and aprox 90% side to side. That will suck if you have to run flaps. Judging by your fab skills maybe if you have to have them you could do some quick disconnects. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! Some state boys can be sticklers to the law but most in my area don't mess with lifted trucks unless they are sky high or fender less , but yeah if they stop me and make me put flaps on I'll make some quick disconnects

Looks a little close but otherwize great. I keep meaning to ask, did you glue your bedsides or just rivet them? And a small request, at the begining of this thread just after you lifted it you had a side shot, could you duplicate that pic so I can see the clearance difference with the glasswork fenders and bedsides please?

Yeah it's close but that pic makes it look closer than it really is

Right now the bedsides are just screwed on but when I pull the truck back apart to paint it I'll be glueing them on

I know the pic your talking about and I'll try to get a pic this weekend in the same spot from as close to same distance

Here is about as close to that pic as I got and keep in mind the truck sits about an inch lower with the bumpers and all on it now
