I just got back from spending 4th of July weekend in the Sierra Mountains, for specifically Monache Meadows. The trip was a ton of fun and it allowed me to see what I was missing for future long term trips. This was probably one of the best times I have had this Summer. You have to take a 4x4 trail to get to this location and there are very few people there.

Finally got a trasharoo. I keep finding trash all over the trails I am visiting. It is getting pretty frustrating, but this way I can clean up after a**holes without putting their trash into my new car. I suppose now I am an official "overlander" with this thing.

Nice build! I did the same with my 08 JKUR when I upgraded to the 16 JKUR...pulled ~75% of my aftermarket parts and built up the 2016 quick.

Tuning my dad's truck

I haven't done much wheeling this last week, but I was able to tune my dad's Dodge Ram 2500 6.7 Diesel. Driving this truck makes me want a Diesel so bad. It is a 2007 Trx with a 6spd and 4.10's. It is a ton of fun to drive and will smoke Hondas on the freeway.

Not a overland trip, but definitely fun

Took my friends Subaru WRX on a winding, cliff filled road. This thing handles so much better than a 4x4. I also ran into my first flash flood.

Could you mount your ARB awning on the other side, or would the ladder get in the way?

Here is mine with the awning on the drivers side with the ladder. I think it is more personal preference than anything.

I want a Gobi rack so bad, the lead time sucks. I called the other today to order one they told me 4 months.

I got mine second hand. They pop up all the time depending on where you are located at in the US. Just check CL and all in your area and within a few hours drive.

Mine took 8 weeks. I would research all racks before purchasing $1500 is a lot of money and you lose 2 mpg off the bat. Personally, if I could go back I would have bought a tricked out garvin bumper. I am at the point where I am forcing myself to use it more often. The most I have used it in the last 2 years is when I move, I strap beds and couches to it lol.

ARB Awning Broke

So anyways, while I was in the Sierras a small gust of wind broke my ARB awning. I had it staked down and everything. Does anyone know where I can purchase replacement parts quick?

Yeah, that's one of the reasons why I have not purchased a rack. Just the thought of never using it!!
