245 vs 265

I have an opportunity to pick up some FJ Rims and Tires, new take off, for my tacoma. Stock from the factory on my truck are the standard aluminum rims as part of the SR5 package with 245/75/R16 tires.

the FJ rims are the 16x7 base aluminum rims but they've for 265/75/R16 tires on them.

Question for folks here who know - with stock suspension can I run the 265s on my truck - they shouldn't rub I wouldn't think.

thanks

Thought 265's it what came stock, maybe that stock for trd? any ways you should be fine with 265's i say run them. Its about 1.25" taller and about 1/2" wider.

The stock tire size is on the TRD is a 265/70/16, not a 265/75. The 265/70 is the same height as the 245/75, but is 20mm wider.

That being said, I run 265/75/16 Cooper Discoverer STs on stock rims on my 09 Tacoma during the winter, and don't have any issues other than a slight loss in fuel mileage.
