4wc and tacoma question

I have a double cab Tacoma, so it has the extra short bed. It's a 2wd pre runner, so it sits up about like a 4wd. I found a older 4WC that is a 73 but it's actually in pretty good condition considering the age. It was garage kept a good portion of its life.

The camper is roughly 91 inches long and my bed with the tailgate down is roughly 80 inches. This means I'd have a little over 10 inches hanging past the tailgate with it down. I'm thinking it's probably a bad idea to run with a set up like this, but I figured I'd ask to see what others might think.

My thought is it's just too much weight past the rear axle, but wanted to see what others think.

I dunno. If you look at this one (http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=33019&d=1254349294) that is what you are looking at. On a full size this MAY be o.k. because the C.G. of the camper may still be forward of the rear axle. But look at how low that truck is sitting in the rear. Time to start slapping on the band-aid airbags and helper springs!

But this pic (http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=70936&d=1316193199)... I don't see how the C.G. could be forward of the axle. It MIGHT be right on top but start climbing a hill and I think you'd get awfully light on the front end. I'd say even with the back of the tail gate or shorter is your best bet. Just my humble opinion.
