Is no one noticing...that the front hood does Not line up?

Or should we just not care, that it's been in an accident.....because we are going to beat it up in the outback anyway?.......and the price is so good.

Just tryin' to learn.

Body panels on Land Rovers are about as precision based as mud architecture. On my never been in an accident-ultra super clean- low miles 99 the gap in body panels is not consistent at all, anywhere...

Glad you did that. I was just reading this thread, getting excited about the potential. The Bay Area is not far from me, and it would make a nice second winter vehicle.

Scott, you're safe for now. I called and put a deposit down
to hold the vehicle until I can fly over to the Bay Area next
week to check it out.

What went through my mind. I would say if it drives straight who cares regardless. Congrats Chip and I hope it works out!

I backed out of this deal this morning. My "spidy-sense" was tingling
all night telling me this is not the right thing for me.

Let me emphasize that this has nothing to do with the vehicle.
I didn't fly to California to look at it. I did learn that the 4/2/09 trip
to the Land Rover dealer reported by Carfax was to fix the power door
lock on the driver's side.

Hopefully someone here will buy this car before Scott is tempted further.

Good job. I have calmed since first reading this tread and don't think I need to spend 5K on anything right now :)

That tingling sensation turned out to be a kidney stone on the move.
So I'm glad I wasn't trying to drive a new vehicle home yesterday!

OMG, I had my first kidney stone last year and I would not call it a "tingling sensation" Only good thing about kidney stones: You can declare my beer as medication; clinical studies in Europe have shown that beer is - together with lemonade - the best you can drink to prevent further kidney stones. My doctor confirmed this :wings: But while the European study talked about 2 beers a day, he recommended one beer. :friday:

hmm... i am kind of in the market for another truck. i have a 2003 4Runner that i love, but its the wife's car. my two door bimmer just isn't cutting it anymore with two little kids and car seats. i live in sacramento, just 100 miles from this Disco... its tempting to go take a look... :smiley_drive:

i am just worried about the reliability of the rovers, but always get weak in the knees when i see one done right. i am very mechanically inclined, but don't have a lot of time right now to be tinkering and fixing....if it is in good shape, is the price right? i just don't want to drop another $2k in it...with such low miles, man it is tempting.
