It is a true rare cream puff. Owned since 2007 by our family and we are Toyota aficionados.

It has been my wife's daily driver with almost zero problems for 3 years. The original goal was to eventually build it up as a project expo vehicle. My wife has fallen in love with the new Venza so we went to trade this in. However, what they want to give us as trade-in value is pretty much insulting hence we are offering it here. Plus, I'd like to see it land in the hands of a fellow Toy appreciater.

It has probably never been off-road. No dings, rust, previous collisions, nothing. Leather interior is in good shape. As far as we know, it has spent its entire life in dry, salt-free Colorado. The previous owner was a professor who racked up all of 60K miles from '97-'07. We are the 2nd owners.

Very limited mods include a WAAG brush guard, tail light guards and PIAA driving lights, hood deflector and multi-speaker sound system with after market amp. It is a "blank canvas" in that regard; i.e. it does not have a suspension that has been poorly-lifted or otherwise abused.

It does have the 3rd row fold-able seats. It does not have factory lockers. ARB air lockers are certainly do-able. It does have a moon roof and all the electrical actuators work perfectly. It has the factory roof rack. It is set up for hands-free bluetooth but we have never used that.

Serious inquiries are invited to PM me for more info.

Thank you for looking.

Many thanks to those who have responded.

Per requests, here are some add'l pics...

(I apologize for the poor picture quality; it is snowing here today; the white streaks are snow flakes)

The leather on the steering wheel could use some slight stitching repair; nothing serious

The engine is as clean as can be for a 1997. No leaks, no burning oil, we have good maintenance records available.

In the interests of full disclosure, we did have 2 minor issues...

#1-The battery died about a year ago. It was replaced with a 8-year model from Checker:

#2- We also replaced the starter about 2 years ago. The work was done by Keller Bros. of Parker, CO (rated as one of the best garages in the country). I insisted on a factory Toyota replacement as opposed to a CarQuest model.

The Birfs are in very fine shape. No rattles, wobbles, squeaks, or anything. Rides and handles very smooth. Serious inquirers are invited to have their mechanic review it top to bottom.

The muffler and cat are most likely original but in very fine shape.

For anybody who'd rather not have the PIAAs, I can deduct those accordingly.

I have a set of FJ Cruiser wheels which are currently mounted. I can work out whatever set is best (the FJC wheels or the original 5-spoke LC wheels) for the eventual buyer. Both sets can be had for a small premium.

Actual mileage as of today (SuperBowl Sunday) is 106,162.

What kind of fuel economy does it see?

Not great but not terrible.

It has the venerable 4.5L in-line 6 cyl. But it is a very heavy-duty and rugged vehicle built like a tank. I would say it's an average of around 18mpg.

If you cruise at 65-70 it may be more like 23mpg. If you are determined to cruise at 80mph then it can drop quite a bit...

I got 23 once, driving across Nebraska with gale force tailwinds!
There were several big rigs pushed into the ditch that day.

Mileage can vary greatly based on your driving style.

It most certainly is a heavy rugged vehicle so if you like to accelerate fast, you'll burn a lot of gas.

My wife babies it.

FWIW, never seen those numbers or heard from any customers that get that. We do have 1 customer that stated 18mpg on the highway at 65 mph from Santa Fe to Denver. 23mpg no way.
