Hello, just a start to my curious adventure life. Coming from the expedition suv conversion side, I've taken on a van for my next build out

While at pensacon convention with my wife, one of my co workers was working transportation and they had a van go down. Company owner stated they were over completely rebuilding it and I jokingly express interest. With a glare from the wife I walked away at the end of the night with a van.
To restore life it took a new crank position sensor and off to home we went.

It's a 1997 gmc savana conversion by legend. 170k well maintained wheel chair transport with lift. Used for city events in pensacola by a outside contractor. Lucky me, a co worker friend is the mechanic for the outside company and gave me the full records for the van. Since we are both specialized mechanics in pensacola we have access to alot of cool parts dirt cheap that most don't.
So off we go to start the build out.

First step is going to be gut it and do any maintenance improvements along with suspension.

It's getting a h2 rear axle 4.10 diff with e locker, 3500 springs front and rear, rear hummer Sway bar and hybrid pan hard bar, new bilsteins. 2-3 inch body lift, 4 inch suspension. I'm torn now between 285/70 17s and 315 l/70 17s do to fitment issues. I'll be running hummer h2 wheels. Front brakes will be switched to h2 hydro boost Mc and gmt800 spindle caliper combo. Rear is running h2 brake and e brake. Once this is done off to building the interior area out.20240225_184342.jpg

This is going to get donated to a non profit hopefully20240315_160118.jpg20240315_175221.jpg

Some parts and looking at the massive tires compared to the van
