Well I looked high and low for the rig I wanted and had to settle for a single step down.
Was looking for a 5.8l f150 but got a 5.0
Thankfully that I have an e4od so I can do a drop in 5.8 when I finish the rebuild.
so I picked up a mint (on the inside) 91 f150 scsb dual tank 4x4 xlt lariat (fancy)
from what I can tell and believe it is the original 84k in the clock. Truck has airbags from having a camper in it for a long time.
we will be going towards 35s (my lady told me just to go big or go home this time around)
building the bed system to sleep/live out of. (I get the awesome opportunity to be a traveling structural welder through the union so I get the please of getting paid to camp out)
looking at the backstop rear tire swing bumper.
already ordered the jbg 4”full lift with springs.
link to the day I picked it up.
This will be a long and video log of the work I will do. Yes I picked an old beat down truck that doesn’t look good, but hopefully that will Dissuade crooks from breaking in looking for stuff. Plus I have no qualms about going through thickets to stay on trail.
mid there’s anything you can think with these bricknose/obs ford let me know
