This is our build thread discussing our mods on a 2007 Tacoma TRD 4x4....
Please keep a few things in mind as you read through this build thread:
1) I'm just a regular guy...my day job has nothing to do with RV repair or maintenance so anything you see or read in this build thread posted by myself is from a non-professional POV.
2) Please always follow common sense and manufacturer's suggestions.
3) Please leave comments and suggestions!

The rest of this OP has to do with the TACO build...
Greetings fellow expeditionaries : )
===October 2009 latest project: putting on Bridgstone Dueler Revo 2 in P245 75 R17 on the stock TRD Sport 17" rims. Will report back sometime in late October 2009 after we have a few miles on them===
Thanks to many of your wonderful threads and posts my wife and i took the plunge and purchased a 2007 TACO TRD 4x4 Access Cab in July of this year for her daily driver and our escape rig.
Though we are just beginning the project and adventures in our home state of Oregon, we quickly got the rig ready for truck+tent camping. I have details at my domain at this page (where i've also mentioned this forum and linked to for visitor's reference).
I will update this thread as i add items that i feel might be of interest to the gang here. Basicaly what i've done so far is outfitted the inside of the A.R.E. shell with a carpeted sleeping platform with storage under. There is also info on the nice "ActionPacker" containers we found and use that fit perfectly behind the front seats of the access cab.
Again, many, many thanks to the TACO owners in this forum that have shared many great ideas that gave me inspiration for the project. Planned for this Fall/Winter builds are the addition of a 2m HAM, LaptopPC/GPS combo and there will also be some addtional info on our truck+vestibule+showerTent+changingTent setup.
Here are a handful of images to get things started in the next couple of posts.
(POST SCRIPT EDIT: I've noticed that every once in a while when linking images from my server they will not load. But give it a few hours and WaLa, back again. sorry for any inconvenience.)
Happy Trails.
